Use the Services at your own risk and verify information independently. The “Paid Member” badge only indicates a membership payment and basic identifying information were provided — it does not mean ID verification, background check, or endorsement by Nanny Shared. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

Nanny Shared — Terms of Use

Effective Date: June 20, 2025

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legally binding agreement between you and NannyShared, LLC (“Nanny Shared,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of http://www.nannyshared.com and related services (the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use the Services.

3. Nature of Platform

  • Nanny Shared is an online directory, forum, and matching platform for connecting families and nannies.
  • We do not employ, endorse, supervise, or control users.
  • We do not perform criminal background checks unless explicitly arranged through third‑party providers at your request.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of profiles or posts, the suitability or safety of users, or the success of any care arrangement.

4. No Employment Relationship

  • Nanny Shared is not your employer or agent.
  • Any employment relationship, contract, tax obligation, or benefit provision is strictly between users.
  • Users are solely responsible for worker classification, payroll taxes, and any required insurance (including workers’ compensation).

5. AI & Forum Disclaimers

  • Our AI assistant is for informational purposes only and may be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Forum content is user‑generated. We do not pre‑screen or endorse any content.
  • You are solely responsible for verifying information before acting on it.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nanny Shared, its officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages; any injury, loss, theft, or harm arising from user interactions; or any content posted by users. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

7. Release of Claims

You release and hold harmless Nanny Shared from all claims, disputes, or damages arising from: (a) user conduct or negligence; (b) disputes between families and caregivers; and (c) incidents occurring during care arrangements.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nanny Shared from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your posted content.

9. User Conduct

  • No false, misleading, or unlawful content.
  • No harassment, discrimination, or harmful conduct.
  • No data collection from other users without consent.
  • No uses unrelated to caregiving connections.

10. Paid Member Badge

The “Paid Member” badge means:

  • The user has completed a membership payment under their legal name; and
  • Provided a public social media link or other basic identifying information.

Limitations: The “Paid Member” badge does not indicate a criminal background check, government ID verification, reference check, skills test, or in‑person interview. Nanny Shared does not endorse or guarantee any user, paid member or not. You must perform your own screening and due diligence.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for any violation of these Terms or misuse of the platform, or as otherwise required by law.

12. Intellectual Property

The Nanny Shared name, logo, and platform content belong to NannyShared, LLC. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or use them without our prior written permission.

13. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any court proceedings (where arbitration does not apply) will occur in the state or federal courts located in Raleigh, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.

14. Arbitration & Class Action Waiver

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be resolved by binding arbitration in North Carolina under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). You and Nanny Shared waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class actions or class‑wide arbitration. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief for intellectual property or unauthorized access/use in a court of competent jurisdiction in Raleigh, NC.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Effective Date” will reflect the latest version. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
